Consultant (Associate)

Job Duties

    • Demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, security controls, and related standards
    • Meeting and working with clients to determine project requirements
    • Working with clients to define complex project scope statements
    • Planning timescales and resources needed to complete projects
    • Clarifying system specifications, understanding work practices and the nature of a client’s business
    • Traveling to customer sites and liaising with staff at all levels of a client organization
    • Defining complex security requirements
    • Analyzing IT requirements within companies and giving independent and objective advice on the use of IT
    • Developing and implementing agreed security solutions and implementing new systems
    • Presenting solutions in written or oral reports
    • Designing, testing, installing and monitoring new systems
    • Preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customers
    • Organizing security training for users and other consultants
    • Being involved in sales and support, and where appropriate, maintaining contact with client organizations
    • Identifying potential clients and building and maintaining contacts
    • Execute services independently and supervise any subordinate staff in delivering basic services

Required Skills

3-7 Years of Risk Management Experience in the following areas:

        • Cyber Security
        • Regulatory Security Compliance
        • Physical Security

A maximum of two years’ experience may be substituted for applicants holding any of the following:

        • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) in good standing
        • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in good standing
        • Post-graduate degree in information security or a related field (ex. business administration, information systems, information assurance, risk management)

Desired Skills

        • Excellent oral and written communication skills
        • Ability to perform quality assurance and create quality client deliverables with minimal supervision
        • Skilled in PowerPoint, Word, Excel
        • Strong time management skills
        • Ability to actively participate in working sessions and stakeholder meetings
        • Ability to interact with clients and represent Opsec Media Networks in a professional manner
        • Ability to take a broad view of the position and take initiative to communicate, interact and cooperate with others
        • Designing and implementing security management programs
